Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical interaction of polyphosphoric acid with titanium and its effect on human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cell behavior.
Kenji Maekawa,Yasuhiro Yoshida,Atsushi Mine,Takuo Fujisawa,Bart Van Meerbeek,Kazuomi Suzuki,Takuo Kuboki +6 more
TL;DR: It was concluded that polyphosphoric acid treatment of Ti enhanced the attachment and proliferation of human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bisphenol A as degradation product of monomers used in resin-based dental materials
Siemon De Nys,Radu Corneliu Duca,Philippe Vervliet,Adrian Covaci,Imke Boonen,Marc Elskens,Jeroen Vanoirbeek,Lode Godderis,Bart Van Meerbeek,Kirsten Van Landuyt +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantified the amount of BPA present as an impurity in both BPA-based and non-BPAbased monomers and evaluated whether these monomers may degrade to BPA upon salivary, bacterial, and chemical challenges.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrolytic stability of one-step self-etching adhesives bonded to dentin.
Anri Fukuoka,Kenichi Koshiro,Satoshi Inoue,Yasuhiro Yoshida,Toru Tanaka,Takatsumi Ikeda,Kazuomi Suzuki,Hidehiko Sano,Bart Van Meerbeek +8 more
TL;DR: The bond strength and ultramorphological data demonstrated that the bond of 1-SEAs to dentin degrades with time, although the degree of degradation is obviously material dependent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bonding to enamel using alternative Enamel Conditioner/etchants.
Chenmin Yao,Mohammed H Ahmed,Kumiko Yoshihara,Benjamin Mercelis,Cristina Parise Gré,Kirsten Van Landuyt,Cui Huang,Bart Van Meerbeek +7 more
TL;DR: Durable bonding to enamel was generally obtained for all etchant/adhesive combinations with the exception of the ME/O-FL combination, and the percentage of adhesive failures increased with aging.
