Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of remaining dentin thickness and the use of conditioner on micro-tensile bond strength of a glass-ionomer adhesive.

TL;DR: The micro-tensile bond strength to dentin significantly improved when the remaining dentin thickness increased and the conditioner was used, and the bonding effectiveness of the glass-ionomer adhesive tested was affected by the area of intertubular dentin available for micro-mechanical retention through hybrid-layer formation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-year clinical effectiveness of a two-step self-etch adhesive in cervical lesions.

TL;DR: The clinical performance of the mild two-step self-etch adhesive, Clearfil SE, remained excellent after 3 yr of clinical functioning, and additional etching of the enamel cavity margins was not critical for its clinical performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-year randomized clinical trial to evaluate the clinical performance and wear of a nanocomposite versus a hybrid composite.

TL;DR: At 3 years, nanocomposite and microhybrid composite meet ADA Acceptance Guidelines (2001) for tooth-colored restorative materials for posterior teeth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bond strength of self-etch adhesives to dentin prepared with three different diamond burs

TL;DR: Overall, different grit-sized diamond burs did not affect the mechanical properties of the interface, except for the ultra-mild one step self-etch adhesive, which performed significantly better when a smaller grit size was used to prepare dentin surface.
