TL;DR: The present report identifies the suppressor factor as nitric oxide (NO), and provides evidence for a mechanism by which IL‐4 abrogates suppression, and characterize an immunoregulatory pathway, involving IFN‐γ and NO, by which Mϕ mediate immunosuppression.

TL;DR: CD30 was expressed on activated CD4+ T cells in the presence of IL-4 and was found to be down-regulated by IFN-gamma, indicating that CD30 is not an intrinsic marker of Th2 cells, but is inducible by IL- 4.
