Mollá,Polychronis Papaderos,Patricia Sanchez-Blazquez,R. M. González Delgado,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,Markus Roth,G. van de Ven,Califa Team +38 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the most widely used empirical oxygen calibrations, O3N2 and N2, by using new direct abundance measurements are reviewed, and the expected uncertainty of these calibrations as a function of the index value or abundance derived is analyzed.

The nature of LINER galaxies: Ubiquitous hot old stars and rare accreting black holes
R. Singh,G. van de Ven,Knud Jahnke,Mariya Lyubenova,Jesús Falcón-Barroso,João Alves,R. Cid Fernandes,Lluís Galbany,Rubén García-Benito,Bernd Husemann,Robert C. Kennicutt,Raffaella Anna Marino,Isabel Márquez,Josefa Masegosa,D. Mast,Anna Pasquali,Sebastián F. Sánchez,J. Walcher,Vivienne Wild,Lutz Wisotzki,Bodo L. Ziegler +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used integral field spectroscopic data from the CALIFA survey to compare the observed radial surface brightness profiles with what is expected from illumination by an AGN.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass-metallicity relation explored with CALIFA I. Is there a dependence on the star-formation rate?
Sebastián F. Sánchez,Sebastián F. Sánchez,F. F. Rosales-Ortega,Bruno Jungwiert,Jorge Iglesias-Páramo,José M. Vílchez,R. A. Marino,C. J. Walcher,Bernd Husemann,D. Mast,Ana Monreal-Ibero,R. Bomans +43 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived a tight relation between the integrated stellar mass and the gas-phase abundance, with a dispersion lower than the one already reported in the literature (σ_Δlog(O/H) = 0.07 dex).
