TL;DR: In patients in the ICU, there was no significant difference in 90-day mortality between patients resuscitated with 6% HES (130/0.4) or saline, however, more patients who received resuscitation with HES were treated with renal-replacement therapy.

TL;DR: In critically ill patients, intensive glucose control leads to moderate and severe hypoglycemia, both of which are associated with an increased risk of death, and the association exhibits a dose-response relationship and is strongest for death from distributive shock.

Helmets for preventing injury in motorcycle riders.
TL;DR: Motorcycle helmets were found to reduce the risk of death and head injury in motorcycle riders who crash and suggest that global efforts to reduce road traffic injuries may be facilitated by increasing helmet use by motorcyclists.
