Population synthesis studies of isolated neutron stars with magnetic field decay
TL;DR: In this article, population synthesis of different types of neutron stars (thermally emitting isolated NSs, normal radio pulsars, magnetars) was performed taking into account the magnetic field decay and using results from the most recent advances in NS cooling theory.
Journal ArticleDOI
The MeerKAT Telescope as a Pulsar Facility: System verification and early science results from MeerTime

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe system verification tests and early science results from the pulsar processor (PTUSE) developed for the newly commissioned 64-dish SARAO MeerKAT radio telescope in South Africa.
Journal ArticleDOI
New constraints on the cooling of the central compact object in cas a
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed two Chandra observations of the central compact object (CCO) in the Cas A supernova remnant (SNR), taken in a setup minimizing instrumental spectral distortions.
Journal ArticleDOI
The spectrum of the recycled psr j0437–4715 and its white dwarf companion
Martin Durant,Oleg Kargaltsev,George G. Pavlov,George G. Pavlov,Piotr M. Kowalski,Bettina Posselt,Marten H. van Kerkwijk,David L. Kaplan,David L. Kaplan +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented extensive spectral and photometric observations of the recycled pulsar/white dwarf binary containing PSR J0437-4715, which they analyzed together with archival X-ray and gamma-ray data, to obtain the complete mid-infrared to gamma spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Geminga’s puzzling pulsar wind nebula
Bettina Posselt,George G. Pavlov,Patrick Slane,Roger W. Romani,Niccolò Bucciantini,A. M. Bykov,Oleg Kargaltsev,Martin C. Weisskopf,Cherry Ng +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, Chandra observations of the Geminga pulsar wind nebula (PWN) have been reported, showing that the luminous, bent polar outflows in the axial tail of the pulsar can be represented by a crushed torus.
