Journal ArticleDOI

Montmorillonite as a drug delivery system: intercalation and in vitro release of timolol maleate.

TL;DR: This work examines the advantageous effect of clay mineral as drug carrier for timolol maleate (TM), a nonselective beta-adrenergic blocking agent, and the intercalation of TM into the interlayer of montmorillonite (MMT).
Journal ArticleDOI

Montmorillonite intercalated with vitamin B1 as drug carrier

TL;DR: The adsorption isotherms were fitted by the Langmuir model and the diffusion controlled mechanism of VB1 in vitro release experiments as discussed by the authors, where 34 and 64% of the intercalated Vb1 was released within 10h, in simulated gastric fluid (pH 1.2) and simulated intestinal fluid(pH 7.4) respectively at 37± 0.5°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP): A Rapid, Sensitive, Specific, and Cost-Effective Point-of-Care Test for Coronaviruses in the Context of COVID-19 Pandemic.

TL;DR: The development of RT-LAMP based diagnostic tools in a paper/strip format or the integration of this method into a microfluidic platform such as a Lab-on-a-chip may revolutionize the concept of PoCT for COVID-19 diagnosis.
