The PARIS Ocean Altimeter In-Orbit Demonstrator
TL;DR: An in-orbit demonstration mission that would prove the expected altimetric accuracy suited for mesoscale ocean science is proposed, and an instrument specially conceived to fully exploit the GNSS signals for best altIMetric performance and to provide multifrequency observations to correct for the ionospheric delay is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Observations of Asteroid Interior and Regolith Structure: Science Measurement Requirements
Alain Herique,B. Agnus,Erik Asphaug,Erik Asphaug,Antonella Barucci,Pierre Beck,Julie Bellerose,Jens Biele,Lydie Bonal,P. W. Bousquet,Lorenzo Bruzzone,C. Buck,Ian Carnelli,A. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review the requirements and model dielectric properties of asteroids to outline a possible instrument suite, and highlight the capabilities of radar instrumentation to achieve these observations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Results of an X-Band PARIS Receiver Using Digital Satellite TV Opportunity Signals Scattered on the Sea Surface
TL;DR: A bistatic radar at X-band using opportunity signals (Passive Reflectometry and Interferometry System (PARIS) concept implementing the interferometric technique) has been developed and tested in a coastal-based experimental setup and the opportunities of the PARIS concept applied at higher frequency band and with stronger signals are discussed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
The ENVISAT advanced synthetic aperture radar system
Yves-Louis Desnos,C. Buck,J. Guijarro,G. Levrini,J.-L. Suchail,Ramon Torres,H. Laur,J. Closa,Betlem Rosich +8 more
TL;DR: The key features of the ENVISAT ASAR system are presented and the ASAR Ground Processor is presented highlighting the concepts for its development and the performance achieved versus the ESA specifications.
Journal ArticleDOI
A radar package for asteroid subsurface investigations: Implications of implementing and integration into the MASCOT nanoscale landing platform from science requirements to baseline design
Alain Herique,Dirk Plettemeier,Caroline Lange,Jan Thimo Grundmann,Valérie Ciarletti,Tra-Mi Ho,Wlodek Kofman,Benoit Agnus,Jun Du,Wenzhe Fa,Oriane Gassot,Ricardo Granados-Alfaro,Jerzy Grygorczuk,Ronny Hahnel,Christophe Hoarau,Martin Laabs,Christophe Le Gac,Marco Mutze,S.
