Journal ArticleDOI
High Mobility in LaAlO 3 / SrTiO 3 Heterostructures: Origin, Dimensionality, and Perspectives
Gervasi Herranz,Mario Basletić,Mario Basletić,Manuel Bibes,C. Carrétéro,Emil Tafra,Eric Jacquet,Karim Bouzehouane,Cyrile Deranlot,Amir Hamzić,Jean-Marc Broto,Alain Barthélémy,Albert Fert +12 more
TL;DR: Experimental data strongly support an interpretation of these properties based on the creation of oxygen vacancies in the SrTiO3 substrates during the growth of the LaAlO3 layer, which opens interesting prospects for all-oxide electronics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mapping the spatial distribution of charge carriers in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures
Mario Basletić,Jean-Luc Maurice,C. Carrétéro,Gervasi Herranz,O. Copie,Manuel Bibes,Eric Jacquet,Karim Bouzehouane,Stéphane Fusil,Alain Barthélémy +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that, depending on specific growth protocols, the spatial extension of the high-mobility electron gas can be varied from hundreds of micrometres into SrTiO(3) to a few nanometres next to the LaAlO( 3)/SrTiO (3) interface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crafting the magnonic and spintronic response of BiFeO3 films by epitaxial strain
Daniel Sando,A. Agbelele,D. Rahmedov,J. Liu,P. Rovillain,P. Rovillain,C. Toulouse,Ingrid C. Infante,Ingrid C. Infante,Alexander P. Pyatakov,Alexander P. Pyatakov,Stéphane Fusil,Eric Jacquet,C. Carrétéro,Cyrile Deranlot,Sergey Lisenkov,Dawei Wang,J-M Le Breton,Maximilien Cazayous,Alain Sacuto,Jean Juraszek,A. K. Zvezdin,A. K. Zvezdin,Laurent Bellaiche,Brahim Dkhil,Agnès Barthélémy,Manuel Bibes +26 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that strain progressively drives the average spin angle from in-plane to out-of-plane, a property used to tune the exchange bias and giant-magnetoresistive response of spin valves.
Journal ArticleDOI
Giant electroresistance of super-tetragonal BiFeO3-based ferroelectric tunnel junctions.
Hiroyuki Yamada,Hiroyuki Yamada,Vincent Garcia,Stéphane Fusil,Stéphane Fusil,Sören Boyn,Maya Marinova,Alexandre Gloter,Stéphane Xavier,Julie Grollier,Eric Jacquet,C. Carrétéro,Cyrile Deranlot,Manuel Bibes,Agnès Barthélémy +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the changes in resistance scale with the nucleation and growth of ferroelectric domains in the ultrathin BiFeO3 (imaged by piezoresponse force microscopy), thereby suggesting potential as multilevel memory cells and memristors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inverse spin Hall effect in nanometer-thick yttrium iron garnet/Pt system
O. d'Allivy Kelly,Abdelmadjid Anane,R. Bernard,J. Ben Youssef,Christian Hahn,A H. Molpeceres,C. Carrétéro,Eric Jacquet,Cyrile Deranlot,P. Bortolotti,Richard Lebourgeois,J.C. Mage,G. de Loubens,Olivier Klein,Vincent Cros,Albert Fert +15 more
TL;DR: Inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) detection of propagating spin waves using Pt. as mentioned in this paper has been shown to correlate well with the increase of the Gilbert damping when decreasing thickness of YIG.
