Direct Evidence for Termination of Obscured Star Formation by Radiatively Driven Outflows in Reddened QSOs
Duncan Farrah,Tanya Urrutia,Mark Lacy,Andreas Efstathiou,Jose Afonso,Kristen Coppin,Patrick B. Hall,Carol J. Lonsdale,Thomas H. Jarrett,Carrie Bridge,Colin Borys,Sara Petty +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present optical to far-infrared photometry of 31 reddened QSOs that show evidence for radiatively driven outflows originating from AGN in their rest-frame UV spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
A DEEP 1.2?mm MAP OF THE LOCKMAN HOLE NORTH FIELD
Robert R. Lindner,Andrew Baker,Alain Omont,Alexandre Beelen,Frazer N. Owen,Frank Bertoldi,Herve Dole,Herve Dole,N. Fiolet,N. Fiolet,Andrew I. Harris,Rob Ivison,Carol J. Lonsdale,Dieter Lutz,Mari Polletta +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 1.2?mm map of a 566 arcmin2 area within the Lockman Hole North (LHN) field, previously a target of the Spitzer Wide Area Infrared Extragalactic survey and extremely deep 20?cm mapping with the Very Large Array, was presented using the MAMBO array on the IRAM 30?m telescope.
Journal ArticleDOI
XID: Cross-Association of ROSAT/Bright Source Catalog X-ray Sources with USNO A2 Optical Point Sources
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantitatively cross-associate the 18811 ROSAT Bright Source Catalog (RASS/BSC) X-ray sources with optical sources in the USNO-A2 catalog, calculating the probability of unique association (Pid) between each candidate within 75 arcsec of the source position, on the basis of optical magnitude and proximity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Continuum and spectral line observations of the OH Megamaser galaxy Arp 220
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present MERLIN observations of the continuum (both 1.6 and 5 GHz) and OH maser emission towards Arp220 and reveal the correct spatial configuration of the various componnents of the galaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Far-infrared properties of spitzer-selected luminous starbursts
Attila Kovács,Attila Kovács,Alain Omont,Alexandre Beelen,Carol J. Lonsdale,Carol J. Lonsdale,M. Polletta,N. Fiolet,Thomas R. Greve,Thomas R. Greve,Colin Borys,Pierre Cox,C. De Breuck,Herve Dole,C. D. Dowell,Duncan Farrah,Guilaine Lagache,Karl M. Menten,Tom Bell,Frazer N. Owen +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented SHARC-2 350 μm data on 20 luminous z ~ 2 starbursts with S_(1.2 mm) > 2 mJy from the Spitzer-selected samples of Lonsdale et al.
