Elevated expression of microRNAs 155, 203, 210 and 222 in pancreatic tumors is associated with poorer survival
Thomas Greither,Lukasz F. Grochola,Andrej Udelnow,Christine Lautenschläger,Peter Würl,Helge Taubert +5 more
TL;DR: This study provides the first evidence for an oncogenic activity ofmiR‐155, miR‐203, miM‐210 and miR-222 in the development of pancreatic cancer as has been reported for other tumor types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immune signature of tumor infiltrating immune cells in renal cancer
Katharina Geissler,Paolo Fornara,Christine Lautenschläger,Hans-Jürgen Holzhausen,Barbara Seliger,Dagmar Riemann +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that immunomonitoring of R CC patients might represent a useful tool for the prediction of the outcome of RCC patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oxygenation of squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck: comparison of primary tumors, neck node metastases, and normal tissue
Axel Becker,Gabriele Hänsgen,Marc Bloching,Christian Weigel,Christine Lautenschläger,Jürgen Dunst +5 more
TL;DR: Primary tumors and their regional lymph node metastases in advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck show comparable patterns of oxygenation in terms of the median pO2 and the proportion of hypoxic measurements, and it is suggested that measurements in any anatomic site would be sufficient to estimate a tumor's oxygenation status.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic factors in malignant glioma: Influence of the overexpression of oncogene and tumor-suppressor gene products on survival
Nikolai G. Rainov,Karl-Ulrich Dobberstein,Hannes Bahn,Hans-Jürgen Holzhausen,Christine Lautenschläger,Volkmar Heidecke,W. Burkert +6 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, the present study identified immunohistochemically detected mdm2-protein overexpression as astatistically significant negative prognostic parameter in patients bearing anaplastic or malignant glioma.
Journal ArticleDOI
High prognostic significance of Mdm2/p53 co-overexpression in soft tissue sarcomas of the extremities
Peter Würl,Axel Meye,Hannelore Schmidt,Christine Lautenschläger,Holger Kalthoff,Friedrich-Wilhelm Rath,Helge Taubert +6 more
TL;DR: A high risk sarcoma group has been defined which the authors believe requires alternative therapeutic approaches and coincident Mdm2/p53 overexpression is an independent molecular marker with the highest prognostic relevance described for soft tissue Sarcoma.
