Journal ArticleDOI

Structure-activity relationships and structural conformation of a novel urotensin II-related peptide.

TL;DR: This work synthesized a series of URP analogs and measured their binding affinity on hGPR14-transfected cells and their contractile activity in a rat aortic ring bioassay to find the most potent antagonist in this series.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, conformational analysis and biological activity of cyclic analogs of the octadecaneuropeptide ODN. Design of a potent endozepine antagonist.

TL;DR: The aim of the present study was to synthesize and characterize cyclic analogs of OP and [d-Leu5]OP, which were found to be three times more potent and 1.4-times more efficacious than OP to increase [Ca2+]i in cultured rat astrocytes and to suppress the effect of both OP and ODN on polyphosphoinositide turnover.
Journal ArticleDOI

A NMR and theoretical study of the aggregates between alkyllithium and chiral lithium amides: control of the topology through a single asymmetric center.

TL;DR: The results indicate that lithium chelation forces the pyrrolidine ring of the 3-AP to adopt a norbornyl-like conformation and that robust 1:1 noncovalent complexes between methyllithium and 3- AP lithium amides form in the medium.
