Journal ArticleDOI

Hemoglobin variability in chronic kidney disease: a cross-sectional study.

TL;DR: CKD and hemodialysis patients receiving treatment with ESAs have significantly greater Hgb variability than patients with CKD not receiving ESAs, suggesting that the current practice pattern for the administration of exogenous ESAs is partly responsible for the observed HGB variability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wrangling with p-values versus effect sizes to improve medical decision-making: A tutorial.

TL;DR: A solution is proposed for perhaps the most common problem in clinical research, the comparison between two populations, for example, comparison of two treatments in a randomized clinical trial or comparison of high risk versus low risk individuals in an epidemiological study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association between Anterior Cingulate Neurochemical Concentration and Individual Differences in Hypnotizability.

TL;DR: The results provide a putative neurobiological basis for individual differences in hypnotizability and can inform the understanding of treatment response to this growing psychotherapeutic tool.
Journal ArticleDOI

Leg-length discrepancy and bone age in unilateral idiopathic talipes equinovarus.

TL;DR: The authors' results suggest that bone age is statistically equivalent to chronologic age in the unilateral clubfoot population and do not provide indirect support for a neurologic etiology.
