Journal ArticleDOI
Optical imaging by means of two-photon quantum entanglement.
TL;DR: In this article, a two-photon optical imaging experiment was performed based on the quantum nature of the signal and idler photon pairs produced in spontaneous parametric down-conversion, where an aperture placed in front of a fixed detector is illuminated by the signal beam through a convex lens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of two-photon "ghost" interference and diffraction.
TL;DR: Observations of unusual diffraction and interference by two-photon correlation measurements by spontaneous parametric down-conversion are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extending the Global Mass Change Data Record: GRACE Follow-On Instrument and Science Data Performance

Low threshold optical oscillations in a whispering gallery mode CaF(2) resonator.

TL;DR: Low-threshold optical hyperparametric oscillations in a high-Q fluorite whispering gallery mode resonator are observed and it is demonstrated that, because of the narrow bandwidth of the resonator modes as well as the high efficiency of the resonate frequency conversion, the oscillations produce stable narrow-band beat-note of the pump, signal, and idler waves.
Journal ArticleDOI
Naturally phase-matched second-harmonic generation in a whispering-gallery-mode resonator.

TL;DR: It is observed that conversion efficiencies of 9% at 30µW pump power in LiNbO3 , as well as self-limiting effects at high powers.
