Journal ArticleDOI
Pharmacokinetic aspects of retinal drug delivery.
Eva M. del Amo,Anna-Kaisa Rimpelä,Emma M. Heikkinen,Otto K. Kari,Eva Ramsay,Tatu Lajunen,Mechthild Schmitt,Laura Pelkonen,Madhushree Bhattacharya,Dominique Richardson,Astrid Subrizi,Tiina Turunen,Mika Reinisalo,Jaakko Itkonen,Elisa Toropainen,Marco G. Casteleijn,Heidi Kidron,Maxim Antopolsky,Kati-Sisko Vellonen,Marika Ruponen,Arto Urtti +20 more
TL;DR: This article aims to provide a systematic and quantitative view on the pharmacokinetic factors in drug delivery to the posterior eye segment, based on the literature and unpublished data from the authors' laboratory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spin coated chitin films for biosensors and its analysis are dependent on chitin-surface interactions
Marco G. Casteleijn,Dominique Richardson,Petteri Parkkila,Niko Granqvist,Arto Urtti,Arto Urtti,Tapani Viitala +6 more
TL;DR: This work presents a comparative study of the usefulness of a chitin surface preparation, either on gold (Au) or on polystyrene (PS), and concludes that stable chit in layers for SPR studies can be made from chitIn in a solution of dimethylacetamide and lithium chloride (LiCl) followed by spin-coating if the gold surface is protected with PS.
Dissertation
Synthesis of neo-glycosylated human erythropoietin and investigation into interaction with the erythropoietin receptor
TL;DR: The outcome indicates that it is possible to inhibit the EPO-(EPOR)2 binding by introducing non-natural glycosylation sites in to theEPO sequence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Accelerated pharmaceutical protein development with integrated cell free expression, purification, and bioconjugation
Dominique Richardson,Jaakko Itkonen,Julia Nievas,Arto Urtti,Arto Urtti,Arto Urtti,Marco G. Casteleijn +6 more
TL;DR: Split-intein mediated capture, protein trans splicing followed by light triggered release, and bioconjugation for proteins synthesized in cell free systems might be performed in an integrated workflow resulting in the fast production of the target protein.
Journal ArticleDOI
Manure Application Planner (MAP): Software for Environmental and Economical Nutrient Planning
TL;DR: The Manure Application Planner (MAP), version 3.0, is a computer software tool used for developing or assessing manure application plans that meet environmental standards and achieve economic feasibility.
