TL;DR: Using only a few key covariates, aggregated global trauma data can be used to adequately perform international trauma center benchmarking and the creation of the ITDB is feasible and recommended as it may be a pivotal step towards improving global trauma outcomes.

Suicide with “non-lethal” firearm
TL;DR: The patient died on the table and the weapon used for this suicide was a “non-lethal” single-barrelled hand gun, type GC27, manufactured by SAPL (France) and loaded with a 12 gauge, 50 mm mini Gomm-Cogne cartridge that contains 12 rubber bullets of 7 mm diameter (figure).
