TL;DR: In patients with early-stage breast cancer, irradiation of the regional nodes had a marginal effect on overall survival, disease-free survival and distant disease- free survival were improved, and breast-cancer mortality was reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The global analysis of the Dutch study indicates the equality of a single fraction as compared to a 6 fraction treatment in patients with painful bone metastases provided that 4 times more retreatments are accepted in the single dose group.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The scheduled 15-year analysis of the EORTC 22922/10925 trial, which aims to investigate the impact on overall survival of elective internal mammary and medial supraclavicular (IM-MS) irradiation, shows a significant reduction of breast cancer mortality and any breast cancer recurrence by IM-MS irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Results of the Dutch national study of the palliative effect of irradiation using two different treatment schemes for non-small-cell lung cancer
Gijsbert W.P.M. Kramer,Stofferinus L. Wanders,Ed M. Noordijk,Ernest Vonk,Hans C. van Houwelingen,Wilbert B. van den Hout,Ronald B. Geskus,Mirjam Scholten,Jan Willem H. Leer +8 more
