The effect of a single fraction compared to multiple fractions on painful bone metastases: a global analysis of the Dutch Bone Metastasis Study
Elsbeth Steenland,J.W.H. Leer,Hans C. van Houwelingen,Wendy J. Post,Wilbert B. van den Hout,Job Kievit,Hanneke C. J. M. de Haes,Hendrik Martijn,Bing Oei,Ernest Vonk,Elzbieta van der Steen-Banasik,Ruud Wiggenraad,J. Hoogenhout,C.C. Wárlám-Rodenhuis,Geertjan van Tienhoven,Rinus Wanders,J. Pomp,M. van Reijn,Thijs van Mierlo,Ewald H. J. M. Rutten +19 more
TL;DR: The global analysis of the Dutch study indicates the equality of a single fraction as compared to a 6 fraction treatment in patients with painful bone metastases provided that 4 times more retreatments are accepted in the single dose group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Quality of Life in Relation to Pain Response to Radiation Therapy for Painful Bone Metastases.
Paulien G. Westhoff,Alexander de Graeff,Evelyn M. Monninkhof,J. Pomp,Marco van Vulpen,Jan Willem H. Leer,Corrie A.M. Marijnen,Yvette M. van der Linden +7 more
TL;DR: Responding patients show a better QoL after radiation therapy for painful bone metastases than nonresponders, and the model did not have enough discriminative power to predict which patients are likely to respond to radiation therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radiotherapy for oesophagus carcinoma: the impact of p53 on treatment outcome
J. Pomp,J. Davelaar,Jan Blom,Cees van Krimpen,Aeilko H. Zwinderman,Wilhelmus Quint,J. J. F. M. Immerzeel +6 more
TL;DR: P53 status proved to be the sole independent prognostic factor in a group of patients treated with radiotherapy alone for carcinoma of the oesophagus and the influence of p53 on local recurrence-free survival (LRFS), however, was not as strong as on OS and MFS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interobserver variability in the delineation of the primary lung cancer and lymph nodes on different four-dimensional computed tomography reconstructions.
Susan Mercieca,José Belderbos,Katrien De Jaeger,Dominic A.X. Schinagl,Noëlle van der Voort Van Zijp,J. Pomp,Jacqueline C.M. Theuws,Jonathan Khalifa,Paul van de Vaart,Marcel van Herk +9 more
TL;DR: Delineation protocols must be improved to benefit from the improved image quality of Mid-P for the GTVln, with outliers indicating interpretation differences for GTVp located close to the mediastinum and G TVln.
