Prognostic model for predicting survival in very preterm infants: an external validation study.
P.E. van Beek,Floris Groenendaal,W. Onland,Sanne Koole,Peter H. Dijk,Koen P. Dijkman,F.A.M. van den Dungen,A.F.J. van Heijst,René F. Kornelisse,Frank A B A Schuerman,E. van Westering-Kroon,R.S.G.M. Witlox,Peter Andriessen,Ewoud Schuit +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a high-quality model predicting survival in very preterm infants is externally valid in an independent, nationwide cohort, and the model showed good external validity as indicated by good discrimination (c statistic 0.82, 95% CI 0.79-0.84) and calibration (calibration-in-the-large 0.003, calibration slope 0.92, 95%)
Journal ArticleDOI
Inter- and intra-observer variability in fetal ductus venosus blood flow measurements in high-risk fetuses at 26-32 weeks
Clara M Bruin,Wessel Ganzevoort,Ewoud Schuit,Ewoud Schuit,Nico A. Mensing van Charante,Hans Wolf +5 more
TL;DR: Inter-observer variation was far less than intra-ob server variation, probably due to mitigation of biological variation by averaging three measurements, and DV PIV has acceptable test characteristics for use in a clinical setting when the average of at least three consecutive measurements is used.
Journal ArticleDOI
Change in cervical length after arrested preterm labor and the risk of preterm birth
K. N. Rennert,K. N. Rennert,S. H. Breuking,Ewoud Schuit,Mireille N. Bekker,Mallory Woiski,M. A. de Boer,Marieke Sueters,H. C. J. Scheepers,Maureen T.M. Franssen,Eva Pajkrt,B. W. J. Mol,B. W. J. Mol,Marjolein Kok,Frederik J.R. Hermans +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, a post-hoc analysis of a randomized clinical trial, transvaginal cervical length was measured in women whose contractions had ceased 48 h after admission for threatened preterm labor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Second-trimester cervical length as risk indicator for Cesarean delivery in women with twin pregnancy
L. van de Mheen,Ewoud Schuit,Ewoud Schuit,Ewoud Schuit,Sophie Liem,Arianne C. Lim,Dick J. Bekedam,S. M. T. A. Goossens,Maureen T.M. Franssen,M. Porath,Martijn A. Oudijk,Kitty W.M. Bloemenkamp,J.J. Duvekot,Mallory Woiski,I. M. de Graaf,J. Sikkema,H. C. J. Scheepers,J. Van Eijk,C. J. M. de Groot,M.G. van Pampus,Ben W.J. Mol +20 more
TL;DR: To determine whether second‐trimester cervical length (CL) in women with a twin pregnancy is associated with the risk of emergency Cesarean section, a large number of studies have found that it is not.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prediction Models for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia in Preterm Infants: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Michelle Romijn,Paula Dhiman,Martijn J. J. Finken,Anton H. van Kaam,Trixie A Katz,Joost Rotteveel,Ewoud Schuit,Gary S Collins,Wes Onland,Héloïse Torchin +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the accuracy of prediction models for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) at 36 weeks of postmenstrual age was evaluated using risk of bias assessment tool.
