Hierarchical approach based on stochastic decoupling to dissipative systems
TL;DR: Based on the novel stochastic methodology for describing quantum dynamics of dissipative systems [J. Shao, J. Chem. Phys. 120 (2004) 5053], a hierarchical approach is suggested and applied to the spin-boson model with Debye spectral density function as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective extraction and recovery of rare earth metals from phosphor powders in waste fluorescent lamps using an ionic liquid system.
TL;DR: An effective recovery of the rare earth metals, Y, Eu, La and Ce, from the metal impurities, Fe, Al and Zn, was achieved from the acidic leach solution of phosphor powders using an ionic liquid containing DODGAA as novel extractant system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lightweight hollow carbon nanospheres with tunable sizes towards enhancement in microwave absorption
Chen Zhou,Sai Geng,Sai Geng,Xiuwen Xu,Tihong Wang,Liqiang Zhang,Xiaojuan Tian,Fan Yang,Haitao Yang,Yongfeng Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of different sizes of hollow carbon nanospheres (HCNs) on microwave absorption has been investigated and it was shown that HCNs with an outer diameter of ∼70 nm and inner diameter of 30 nm exhibit the best microwave absorption performance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-Organic Framework-Derived Carbon Nanorods Encapsulating Bismuth Oxides for Rapid and Selective CO 2 Electroreduction to Formate
TL;DR: Electrochemical results demonstrate the synergistic effect in the Bi 2 O 3 @C promotes the rapid and selective CO 2 reduction, in which the Bi2 O 3 is beneficial for improving the reaction kinetics and formate selectivity, while the carbon matrix would be helpful for enhancing the activity and current density of formate production.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crack initiation mechanism of extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy in the very high cycle fatigue regime
TL;DR: In this article, fatigue failure mainly originated from the specimen surface or near surface, where deformation twins were found after cyclic loading, and fatigue damage mechanisms were proposed in terms of surface/near surface crack initiation.
