Identification of Bacillus subtilis CysL, a Regulator of the cysJI Operon, Which Encodes Sulfite Reductase

TL;DR: It is shown that CysL (formerly YwfK), a LysR-type transcriptional regulator, activates the transcription of the cysJI operon, which encodes sulfite reductase, which is the first report of a regulator of some of the genes involved in cysteine biosynthesis in Bacillus subtilis.
Journal ArticleDOI

FindTarget: software for subtractive genome analysis.

TL;DR: A FindTarget search for genes putatively involved in the specificity of cell envelope synthesis of Gram-negative bacteria is presented, and the results show that most of the identified genes are clearly involved in cell wall processes, underlining the power of such an approach in general and that of FindTarget in particular.
Journal ArticleDOI

DiffTool: building, visualizing and querying protein clusters

TL;DR: The package provides a clustering tool to construct protein families according to sequence similarities and a web interface to query the corresponding clusters and the Perl sources are freely available to non-profit organizations upon request.
Patent

Proteines insecticides photorabdus luminescens

TL;DR: L'invention concerne notamment des sequences nucleotidiques isolees de Photorhabdus luminescens, des toxines codees par lesdites sequences, de procedes d'obtention de telles toxines, des compositions comprenant de telle toxines destinees a la lutte contre des insectes ravageurs des cultures ou nuisibles.
