Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanisms of curcumin- and EGF-receptor related protein (ERRP)-dependent growth inhibition of colon cancer cells.

TL;DR: It is observed that the cell growth inhibition and stimulation of apoptosis in response to the combinatorial treatment was significantly greater than that caused by either agent alone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Resveratrol-Induced Apoptosis is enhanced in low pH environments associated with cancer

TL;DR: The results reveal that growth inhibition and internucleosomal DNA fragmentation induced apoptosis in Capan‐2 and Panc‐28 pancreatic cancer cell lines is enhanced at lower pH, providing irrevocable proof that low pH environment can be turned into tumor weakness and assist in eradication of cancer cells by resveratrol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinicopathologic analysis of pancreatic adenocarcinoma in African Americans and Caucasians.

TL;DR: Although African American and Caucasian patients had similar survival rates associated with usual type pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, there were differences in management and expression of biologic markers between these two groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular Markers of Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition Are Associated with Tumor Aggressiveness in Breast Carcinoma

TL;DR: Vimentin, EGFR, and NF-κ B were significantly increased in triple-negative tumors, which is consistent with the aggressiveness of these tumors.
Journal Article

Induction of apoptosis and inhibition of c-erbB-2 in breast cancer cells by flavopiridol.

TL;DR: It is concluded that flavopiridol inhibits the growth of MDA-MB-435 breast cancer cells, induces apoptosis, regulates the expression of genes, and inhibits invasion and, thus, may inhibit metastasis of Breast cancer cells.
