Muhyi Al-Sarraf,Michael LeBlanc,P.G. Giri,Karen K. Fu,Jay S. Cooper,T. Vuong,Arlene A. Forastiere,George L. Adams,Wael Sakr,David E. Schuller,John F. Ensley +10 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that chemoradiotherapy is superior to radiotherapy alone for patients with advanced nasopharyngeal cancers with respect to PFS and overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Frequency of Carcinoma and Intraepithelial Neoplasia of the Prostate in Young Male Patients
TL;DR: Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and histological cancers are surprisingly common in young male patients of both races, and appears to present several decades earlier than clinically detected carcinoma.
Journal Article
High grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HGPIN) and prostatic adenocarcinoma between the ages of 20-69: an autopsy study of 249 cases.
Wael Sakr,David J. Grignon,John D. Crissman,Lance K. Heilbrun,B. J. Cassin,J. J.E. Pontes,G. P. Haas +6 more
TL;DR: HGPIN was encountered in 0, 5, 10, 41 and 63% of men in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th decades, respectively, and corresponding figures for invasive carcinoma were 2, 29, 32, 55, and 64% respectively.

Phase II randomized clinical trial of lycopene supplementation before radical prostatectomy
Omer Kucuk,Fazlul H. Sarkar,Wael Sakr,Zora Djuric,Michael Pollak,Frederick Khachik,Yi Wei Li,Mousumi Banerjee,David J. Grignon,John S. Bertram,John D. Crissman,Edson Pontes,David P. Wood +12 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that lycopene supplementation may decrease the growth of prostate cancer, but no firm conclusions can be drawn at this time because of the small sample size.

Treatment and Prevention of Intraepithelial Neoplasia: An Important Target for Accelerated New Agent Development: Recommendations of the American Association for Cancer Research Task Force on the Treatment and Prevention of Intraepithelial Neoplasia
Joyce O'Shaughnessy,Gary J. Kelloff,Gary Gordon,Andrew J. Dannenberg,Waun Ki Hong,Carol J. Fabian,Caroline C. Sigman,Monica M. Bertagnolli,Steven P. Stratton,Stephen Lam,William G. Nelson,Frank L. Von Hoff +22 more
TL;DR: The AACR IEN Task Force recommends focusing on established precancers as the target for new agent development because of the close association between dysplasia and invasive cancer and because a convincing reduction in IEN burden provides patient benefit by reducing cancer risk and/or by decreasing the need for invasive interventions.
