High-harmonic gyrodevices with frequency multiplication
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-wave gyro-oscillators with frequency multiplication provided in a single operating cavity are proposed. And a possibility for realization of a moderately-relativistic (250 keV) THz gyromultiplier operating at 5-6 cyclotron harmonic with the output power of about 1 kW is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient Broad Band HE11 Mode Exciter
TL;DR: In this article, a quasi-optical HE11 mode exciter is presented, which consists of a smooth rectangular horn, dielectric focusing lens and output waveguide section.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-wave regime of operation of the high-harmonic gyrotron
Andrey V. Savilov,Andrey V. Savilov,G. G. Denisov,G. G. Denisov,Yu. K. Kalynov,Ivan V. Osharin +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed the use of two-wave co-generation as a way to decrease the effective Q-factor of the operating near-cutoff wave of the gyrotron.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Development of Ultrashort Pulse Generators based on Helical Gyro-TWT with Saturable Cyclotron Resonance Absorber in the Feedback Loop
Naum Ginzburg,G. G. Denisov,M. N. Vilkov,Alexander A. Sergeev,Sergey V. Samsonov,Irina V. Zotova,A.A. Bogdashov,Alexander Marek,John Jelonnek +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a periodic train of ultrashort microwave pulses can be generated in an electron oscillator consisting of a helically corrugated gyro-TWT and a saturable absorber based on cyclotron resonance interaction of radiation with an initially rectilinear electron beam.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Performance of a remote steering antenna for ECRH/ECCD applications using 4-Wall corrugated square wave-guide
W. Kasparek,G. Gantenbein,B. Plaum,R. Wacker,E. Filipovic,A. V. Chirkov,G. G. Denisov,Sergey Kuzikov,K. Ohkubo,F. Hollmann,D. Wagner +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a 4-side corrugated square waveguide with a scanning mirror at the input of the waveguide for the upper ECW launch on ITER.
