TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a random vertical (lateral) exfoliation (fragmentation) phenomenon to optimize the number of iterations in the scotch-tape peeling technique and rigorously demonstrate that since the second cleavage the occurrence of monolayers is the most likely.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented SnSe2 photodetectors with exfoliated tin diselenide nanosheets extended in the range of terahertz frequency exhibiting high responsivity (170 V W-1), fast speed (2.2 μs), as well as room-temperature operation, based on efficient production of hotelectrons under deep-subwavelength electromagnetic focus.
