Identification of a non-linear internal combustion engine model for on-line indicated torque estimation

TL;DR: In this paper, a non-linear model of the dynamics relating combustion pressure to crankshaft angular velocity is proposed for the estimation of internal combustion engine torque both for control and diagnostic applications.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Analysis and processing of shaft angular velocity signals in rotating machinery for diagnostic applications

TL;DR: The application of some modern signal processing methods to the analysis of angular velocity signals in a rotating machine for diagnostic purposes shows that these algorithms have potential for on-board diagnostic application in passenger and commercial vehicles, and more generally for failure detection of other classes of rotating machines.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

PEV charging impact on residential distribution transformer life

TL;DR: In this paper, a study performed to assess the impact of PEV charging on a local distribution transformer was presented, where a dynamic thermal model was used for prediction of the transformer hot-spot temperature with the information of power load and ambient temperature, thus the aging of insulation can be predicted.
