Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of Depression in the Community from 30 Countries between 1994 and 2014.
TL;DR: A random-effects model meta-analysis allows benchmarking of the prevalence of depression during the era when online health information emerged, facilitating future comparisons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology: Consensus Statement and Recommendations for Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean.
Laurent Bollag,Grace Lim,Pervez Sultan,Ashraf S. Habib,Ruth Landau,Mark I. Zakowski,Mohamed Tiouririne,Sumita Bhambhani,Brendan Carvalho +8 more
TL;DR: A summary of the Enhanced Recovery After Cesarean delivery (ERAC) protocol written by a Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) committee and approved by the SOAP Board of Directors in May 2019 is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Review of the Impact of Obstetric Anesthesia on Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes
TL;DR: This review will focus on recent advances in obstetric anesthesia, including labor anesthesia and analgesia, cesarean delivery anesthesia and morphine, the effects of maternal anesthesia on breastfeeding and fever, and maternal safety.
Journal ArticleDOI
Potassium channel dysfunction in human neuronal models of Angelman syndrome
Alfred Xuyang Sun,Qiang Yuan,Masahiro Fukuda,Weonjin Yu,Haidun Yan,Grace Lim,Mui Hoon Nai,Giuseppe D'Agostino,Hoang-Dai Tran,Yoko Itahana,Danlei Wang,Hidayat Lokman,Koji Itahana,Stephanie Wai Lin Lim,Jiong Tang,Ya Yin Chang,Menglan Zhang,Stuart A. Cook,Owen J. L. Rackham,Chwee Teck Lim,Eng-King Tan,Huck-Hui Ng,Kah-Leong Lim,Kah-Leong Lim,Yong-hui Jiang,Hyunsoo Shawn Je +25 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that UBE3A suppresses neuronal hyperexcitability via ubiquitin-mediated degradation of calcium- and voltage-dependent big potassium (BK) channels, suggesting that BK channelopathy underlies epilepsy in AS and support the use of human cells to model human developmental diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Superoxide drives progression of Parkin/PINK1-dependent mitophagy following translocation of Parkin to mitochondria.
Bin Xiao,Xiao Deng,Grace Lim,Shaoping Xie,Zhi Dong Zhou,Kah-Leong Lim,Eng-King Tan,Eng-King Tan +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (CCCP) treatment induced both mitochondrial depolarization and generation of ROS that were needed for theMitophagy process, and the therapeutic potential of regulating mitophagy through the superoxide–p38–mitophagy axis is suggested.
