Marin,Domenico Alvaro +23 more
TL;DR: This Consensus Statement aims to provide valuable information on classifications, pathological features, risk factors, cells of origin, genetic and epigenetic modifications and current therapies available for this cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epigenetic and genetic features of 24 colon cancer cell lines.
Deeqa Ahmed,Peter W. Eide,Ina A. Eilertsen,Stine A. Danielsen,Mette Eknæs,Merete Hektoen,Guro Elisabeth Lind,Guro Elisabeth Lind,Ragnhild A. Lothe,Ragnhild A. Lothe +9 more
TL;DR: Molecular features of a large number of colon cancer cell lines are presented to aid the selection of suitable in vitro models for descriptive and functional research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-omics of 34 colorectal cancer cell lines - a resource for biomedical studies
Kaja Christine Graue Berg,Kaja Christine Graue Berg,Peter W. Eide,Peter W. Eide,Ina A. Eilertsen,Ina A. Eilertsen,Bjarne Johannessen,Bjarne Johannessen,Jarle Bruun,Jarle Bruun,Stine A. TL;DR: The view of CRC cell lines as accurate molecular models of primary carcinomas is expanded, and integrated multi-level molecular data of 34 widely used cell lines are presented, providing a resource for preclinical studies in CRC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differentiation of human embryonal carcinomas in vitro and in vivo reveals expression profiles relevant to normal development.
Rolf Inge Skotheim,Guro Elisabeth Lind,Outi Monni,Jahn M. Nesland,Vera M. Abeler,Sophie D. Fosså,Nur Duale,Gunnar Brunborg,Olli Kallioniemi,Peter W. Andrews,Ragnhild A. Lothe +10 more
TL;DR: The present study shows the unique gene expression profiles of each histologic subtype of TGCT from which deregulated components in selected processes operating in normal development, such as WNT signaling and DNA methylation are identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
A CpG island hypermethylation profile of primary colorectal carcinomas and colon cancer cell lines
Guro Elisabeth Lind,Lin Thorstensen,Tone Løvig,Gunn Iren Meling,Richard Hamelin,Torleiv O. Rognum,Manel Esteller,Ragnhild A. Lothe +7 more
TL;DR: The present study shows that colon cancer cell lines are in general relevant in vitro models, comparable with the in vivo situation, as the cell lines display many of the same molecular alterations as do the primary carcinomas.
