Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammatory bowel disease and mutations affecting the interleukin-10 receptor.
Erik-Oliver Glocker,Daniel Kotlarz,Kaan Boztug,E. Michael Gertz,Alejandro A. Schäffer,Fatih Noyan,Mario Perro,Jana Diestelhorst,Anna Allroth,Dhaarini Murugan,Nadine Hätscher,Dietmar Pfeifer,Karl-Walter Sykora,Martin Sauer,Hans Kreipe,Martin Lacher,Rainer Nustede,Cristina Woellner,Ulrich Baumann,Ulrich Salzer,Sibylle Koletzko,Neil Shah,Anthony W. Segal,Axel Sauerbrey,Stephan Buderus,Scott B. Snapper,Bodo Grimbacher,Christoph Klein +27 more
TL;DR: Mutations in genes encoding the IL10R subunit proteins were found in patients with early-onset enterocolitis, involving hyperinflammatory immune responses in the intestine, and resulted in disease remission in one patient.
Journal ArticleDOI
MicroRNA expression profiling of megakaryocytes in primary myelofibrosis and essential thrombocythemia.
TL;DR: This is the first microRNA profiling of in situ-derived PMF, ET and normal megakaryocytes, indicating that a complex shift of microRNA expression appears to be the underlying defect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Opposite expression pattern of Src kinase Lyn in acute and chronic haematological malignancies.
TL;DR: It is concluded that tyrosine kinase Lyn contributes to the malignant phenotype in certain leukaemia subtypes and therefore attracts targeted therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of KAI1/CD82 in distant metastases from estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer.
Matthias Christgen,Henriette Christgen,Charlotte Heil,Till Krech,Florian Länger,Hans Kreipe,Ulrich Lehmann +6 more
TL;DR: Results demonstrate that the expression of KAI1 is maintained during progression to metastasis in a large proportion of ER‐negative mammary carcinomas, which has significant implications for the use of K AI1 as a clinical marker and the understanding of the metastatic process in human breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Histopathological criteria and selection algorithms for BRCA1 genetic testing
Dorothea Gadzicki,Alexandra Schubert,Christine Fischer,S. Milde,Ulrich Lehmann,Doris Steinemann,Hans-Joachim Lück,Hans Kreipe,Brigitte Schlegelberger +8 more
TL;DR: Investigation in an unselected series of breast cancer patients the value of incorporating morphological and immunohistochemical features for the selection of patients who may benefit from BRCA1 genetic testing found no significant difference between tumors of mutation carriers and noncarriers.
