Mossy fiber involvement in progressive supranuclear palsy
TL;DR: The cerebellar cortex of progressive supranuclear palsy cases exhibited a characteristic pathology which occurred neither in healthy aged individuals nor in cases of fully developed Alzheimer’s disease, but all of the 11 PSP cases studied reveal altered mossy fiber excrescences containing abnormal and hyperphosphorylated tau protein.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rebuttal to Drs. Grinberg and Heinsen.
TL;DR: The authors' methods miss “hidden” seeding activity in the locus coeruleus at early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, and their conclusion that the LC is unlikely to be the origin of pathological seeding in AD is incorrect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Involvement of cortico-efferent tracts in flail arm syndrome: a tract-of-interest-based DTI study.
Angela Rosenbohm,Kelly Del Tredici,Heiko Braak,Hans-Jürgen Huppertz,Albert C. Ludolph,Hans-Peter Müller,Jan Kassubek +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a tract-of-interest-based analysis of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data from flail arm syndrome patients using a hypothesis-guided tract of interest-based approach to identify in vivo microstructural changes according to a neuropathologically defined ALS-related pathology of the cortico-efferent tracts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heiko Braak,Udo Rüb,Eva Braak +2 more
TL;DR: The Morbus Parkinson is a stetig voranschreitende degenerative degenerative Erkrankung des zentralen, peripheren and enterischen Nervensystems des Menschen as mentioned in this paper.
