Journal ArticleDOI

Structure-based prediction of DNA target sites by regulatory proteins.

Hidetoshi Kono, +1 more
- 01 Apr 1999 -
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the structural data can be used to predict DNA target sequences for regulatory proteins, and the results show that target binding sites for several regulatory proteins are successfully predicted, suggest that this method can serve as a powerful tool for predicting multiple target sites and target genes for Regulatory proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zero-gap semiconductor to excitonic insulator transition in Ta2NiSe5

TL;DR: The dome-like behaviour around EG∼0 combined with the transport, thermodynamic and optical results are fully consistent with an excitonic insulator phase in Ta2NiSe5, and the entropy associated with the transition being consistent with a primarily electronic origin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Protein-DNA recognition patterns and predictions.

TL;DR: It is shown how the patterns of interaction, either observed in known structures or derived from computer simulations, confer recognition specificity, and how they can be used to examine the relationship between structure and specificity and to predict target DNA sequences used by regulatory proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

ProTherm: Thermodynamic Database for Proteins and Mutants

TL;DR: The first release of the Thermodynamic Database for Proteins and Mutants (ProTherm) contains more than 3300 data of several thermodynamic parameters for wild type and mutant proteins, which are important for understanding the mechanism of protein stability.
