Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Epidemiology of Clinical Isolates of Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter spp. from Chinese Hospitals
TL;DR: Findings indicated clonal spread of imipenem-resistant Acinetobacter spp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenotypic and Genotypic Characterization of Enterobacteriaceae with Decreased Susceptibility to Carbapenems: Results from Large Hospital-Based Surveillance Studies in China
TL;DR: Moderate- to high-level carbapenem resistance in most isolates was more closely associated with loss or decreased expression of both major porins combined with production of AmpC or extended-spectrum β-lactamase enzymes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial resistance trends among 5608 clinical Gram-positive isolates in China: results from the Gram-Positive Cocci Resistance Surveillance program (2005-2010).
Chunjiang Zhao,Hongli Sun,Hui Wang,Yudong Liu,Yudong Liu,Bijie Hu,Yunsong Yu,Yunsong Yu,Ziyong Sun,Yunzhuo Chu,Bin Cao,Kang Liao,Jin’e Lei,Zhidong Hu,Liyan Zhang,Xiaobing Zhang,Yingchun Xu,Zhanwei Wang,Minjun Chen +18 more
TL;DR: A sharp increase in the prevalence of penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae and PRSP was identified, and continuous surveillance is warranted to evaluate the resistance trend of clinically important Gram-positive organisms in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro activity of ceftobiprole, linezolid, tigecycline, and 23 other antimicrobial agents against Staphylococcus aureus isolates in China.
TL;DR: The susceptibility of S. aureus to 26 antimicrobial agents, including ceftobiprole, linezolid, and tigecycline, was determined and it was found that only 4.2% to 12.6% of MRSA were susceptible to erythromycin, fluoroquinolones, gentamicin, andTetracycline.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial susceptibility of bacterial pathogens associated with community-acquired respiratory tract infections in Asia: report from the Community-Acquired Respiratory Tract Infection Pathogen Surveillance (CARTIPS) study, 2009-2010
Hui Wang,Hui Wang,Minjun Chen,Yingchun Xu,Hongli Sun,Qiwen Yang,Yunjian Hu,Bin Cao,Yunzhuo Chu,Yong Liu,Rong Zhang,Yunsong Yu,Ziyong Sun,Chao Zhuo,Yuxing Ni,Bijie Hu,Thean Yen Tan,Po-Ren Hsueh,Jen Hsien Wang,Wen Chien Ko,Yen-Hsu Chen,Hendro Wahjono +21 more
TL;DR: These results from the CARTIPS study have confirmed some significant regional differences in the antimicrobial susceptibilities of S. pneumoniae, MSSA, K. influenzae and Streptococcus spp.
