Journal ArticleDOI
Electric-field control of magnetism in a few-layered van der Waals ferromagnetic semiconductor.
Wang Zhi,Wang Zhi,Tongyao Zhang,Mei Ding,Baojuan Dong,Baojuan Dong,Yanxu Li,Mao-Lin Chen,Mao-Lin Chen,Xiaoxi Li,Xiaoxi Li,Jianqi Huang,Jianqi Huang,Hanwen Wang,Hanwen Wang,Xiaotian Zhao,Xiaotian Zhao,Yong Li,Yong Li,Da Li,Da Li,Chuankun Jia,Lidong Sun,Huaihong Guo,Yu Ye,Dong-Ming Sun,Dong-Ming Sun,Yuansen Chen,Teng Yang,Teng Yang,Jing Zhang,Shimpei Ono,Zheng Han,Zheng Han,Zhidong Zhang,Zhidong Zhang +35 more
TL;DR: It is shown that, via electrostatic gating, a strong field effect can be observed in devices based on few-layered ferromagnetic semiconducting Cr2Ge2Te6, which shows bipolar tunable magnetization loops below the Curie temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electric-field control of magnetism in few-layered van der Waals magnet
Zhi Wang,Tongyao Zhang,Mei Ding,Baojuan Dong,Yanxu Li,Mao-Lin Chen,Xiaoxi Li,Yong Li,Da Li,Chuankun Jia,Lidong Sun,Huaihong Guo,Dong-Ming Sun,Yuansen Chen,Teng Yang,Jing Zhang,Shimpei Ono,Zheng Vitto Han,Zhidong Zhang +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, an ionic gate controlled magnetism in van der Waals magnets has been demonstrated in a few-layered semiconducting Cr$2}$Ge$ 2}$Te$ 6} devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
In-Plane Optical Anisotropy of Layered Gallium Telluride
Shengxi Huang,Yuki Tatsumi,Xi Ling,Huaihong Guo,Ziqiang Wang,Garrett Watson,Alexander A. Puretzky,David B. Geohegan,Jing Kong,Ju Li,Teng Yang,Teng Yang,Riichiro Saito,Mildred S. Dresselhaus +13 more
TL;DR: Polarized Raman spectroscopy proves to be sensitive to the crystalline orientation of GaTe, and shows the intricate dependences of Raman anisotropy on flake thickness, photon and phonon energies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal electromagnetic-wave absorption by enhanced dipole polarization in Ni/C nanocapsules
Han Wang,Huaihong Guo,Yingying Dai,Dianyu Geng,Zheng Han,Da Li,Teng Yang,Song Ma,Wei Liu,Zhidong Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, Ni/C nanocapsules with similar permeability but different permittivity mainly due to differences in the graphite-shell thickness have been investigated and the optimal working frequency could appear at S-band and C-band with considerable strong EMW absorption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Control of Surface and Edge Oxidation on Phosphorene
Kaci L. Kuntz,Rebekah A. Wells,Jun Hu,Teng Yang,Baojuan Dong,Huaihong Guo,Adam H. Woomer,Daniel L. Druffel,Anginelle M Alabanza,David Tománek,Scott C. Warren +10 more
TL;DR: This work opens a route to functionalize the basal surface or edges of two-dimensional (2D) black phosphorus through site-selective chemical reactions and presents the opportunity to explore the synthesis of 2D phosphorene oxide by oxidation by oxidation.
