Multi-objective design optimization of a micro heat sink for Concentrating Photovoltaic/Thermal (CPVT) systems using a genetic algorithm

TL;DR: In this article, an optimization methodology for a microchannel, plate-fin heat sink suitable for the cooling of a linear parabolic trough Concentrating Photovoltaic/Thermal (CPVT) system is applied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and experimental evaluation of a parabolic-trough concentrating photovoltaic/thermal (CPVT) system with high-efficiency cooling

TL;DR: In this paper, a parabolic-trough concentrating photovoltaic/thermal (CPVT) system is discussed, where the system design and manufacturing procedures as well as the characteristics of the system sub-components are thoroughly illustrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-speed visualization of vortical cavitation using synchrotron radiation

TL;DR: In this article, high-speed X-ray phase-contrast imaging of the cavitating flow developing within an axisymmetric throttle orifice has been conducted using high-flux synchrotron radiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of cavitation and vapor shedding mechanisms in a Venturi nozzle

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the cavitating flow dynamics in an axisymmetric converging-diverging venturi nozzle and confirmed the interpretation of high-speed images of the Venturi flow, which indicated that there are two vapor shedding mechanisms that exist under different running conditions.
