Journal ArticleDOI

Quantification of cytochrome P-450 gene expression in human tissues.

TL;DR: Humans can metabolize an extremely wide range of potentially harmful foreign hydrophobic compounds including many drugs, environmental pollutants and chemical carcinogens due to the action of cytochromes 1’-450.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rapid compound pattern classification by recursive partitioning of feature space. An application in flow cytometry

TL;DR: A method is described for rapidly classifying a set of points in real space via a discriminating, recursive partition of feature space obtained pragmatically by the CART algorithm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromosomal localization of a cytochrome b5 gene to human chromosome 18 and a cytochrome b5 pseudogene to the X chromosome.

TL;DR: An alternative approach, based on restriction enzyme digestion of PCR-amplified DNA, enabled us to map the human cytochrome b5 gene(s) to chromosome 18 and one of its processed pseudogenes to the X chromosome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sch 34343: in-vitro antibacterial activity and susceptibility to β-lactamases

TL;DR: Sch 34343 showed a high degree of resistance to plasmid-determined and most chromosomally determined beta-lactamases; however, it was hydrolysed rapidly by enzymes from some isolates of Aeromonas hydrophila and more slowly than enzymes from Ps. melaninogenicus subspecies intermedius as mentioned in this paper.
