Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic, structural, and electronic properties of iron sulfide Fe 3 S 4 nanoparticles synthesized by the polyol mediated process

TL;DR: In this article, the MCD spectra of greigite Fe3S4 nanoparticles were measured for the first time and the temperature and magnetic field dependences of the magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) of optical spectra were measured in the nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Another mechanism for the insulator-metal transition observed in Mott insulators

TL;DR: In this article, the Mott-Hubbard energy was shown to be a function of the high-spin-low-spin crossover in the electronic shell of a transition metal ion under high pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of superconductivity in hydrogen sulfide from nuclear resonant scattering.

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that an external static magnetic field of about 0.7 tesla is expelled from the volume of 119Sn foil as a result of the shielding by the H2S sample at temperatures between 4.7 K and approximately 140 K, revealing a superconducting state of H1S.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetic properties of hematite/magnetite nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this paper, a thermal reduction method has been developed to prepare magnetite/hematite nanocomposites and pure magnetite nanoparticles targeted for specific applications, and the relative content of hematite α-Fe2O3 and magnetite Fe3O4 nanoparticles in the product was ensured by maintaining proper conditions in the thermal reduction of α -Fe 2O3 powder in the presence of a high boiling point solvent.
