Journal ArticleDOI
Loss of lamin A function increases chromatin dynamics in the nuclear interior
Irena Bronshtein,Eldad Kepten,Itamar Kanter,Shirly Berezin,Moshe Lindner,Abena B. Redwood,Sabine Mai,Susana Gonzalo,Roland Foisner,Yaron Shav-Tal,Yuval Garini +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the genome has highly constrained dynamics, and suggested that the molecular regulation of chromatin diffusion by lamin A in the nuclear interior is critical for the maintenance of genome organization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying β-catenin subcellular dynamics and cyclin D1 mRNA transcription during Wnt signaling in single living cells.
Pinhas Kafri,Sarah E Hasenson,Itamar Kanter,Jonathan Sheinberger,Noa Kinor,Sharon Yunger,Yaron Shav-Tal +6 more
TL;DR: Correlating β-catenin nuclear dynamics to cyclin D1 transcriptional activation showed that the nuclear accumulation rate of change of the signaling factor, and not actual protein levels, correlated with the transcriptional output of the pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single cell transcriptomics: methods and applications.
Itamar Kanter,Tomer Kalisky +1 more
TL;DR: This review will survey emerging technologies for single cell transcriptomics, and describe how they are used to study complex disease such as cancer, as well as other biological phenomena such as tissue regeneration, embryonic development, and immune response.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dissecting Stages of Human Kidney Development and Tumorigenesis with Surface Markers Affords Simple Prospective Purification of Nephron Stem Cells.
Naomi Pode-Shakked,Oren Pleniceanu,Oren Pleniceanu,Rotem Gershon,Rotem Gershon,Rachel Shukrun,Rachel Shukrun,Itamar Kanter,Efrat Bucris,Ben Pode-Shakked,Gal Tam,Hadar Tam,Revital Caspi,Revital Caspi,Sara Pri-Chen,Einav Vax,Einav Vax,Guy Katz,Dorit Omer,Dorit Omer,Orit Harari-Steinberg,Tomer Kalisky,Benjamin Dekel +22 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates a sequential map that links human kidney development and tumorigenesis and indicates negative selection for CD133 is required for defining NCAM1+ nephron stem cells in normal and malignant nephrogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
A brief review of single-cell transcriptomic technologies.
Tomer Kalisky,Sarit Oriel,Tali Hana Bar-Lev,Nissim Ben-Haim,Ariel Trink,Yishay Wineberg,Itamar Kanter,Shlomit Gilad,Saumyadipta Pyne +8 more
TL;DR: A brief review of recent developments in single-cell technology is provided to provide a quick background for newcomers to the field as well as a deeper description of some of the leading technologies to date.
