Vertical and horizontal variability of aerosol single scattering albedo and hemispheric backscatter fraction over the united states

TL;DR: In this article, the optical properties of submicrometer aerosol particles were measured from the NOAA P-3 aircraft during the summer 1995 Southern Oxidant Study, which allowed determination of several key parameters needed to evaluate the radiative climate forcing by aerosols, including the aerosol single-scattering albedo and hemispheric backscattering fraction.
