A General, Diastereoselective Synthesis of Highly Functionalized Bicyclo[n.3.1]alkane Systems Based on an Anionic Domino Reaction of α-Nitrocycloalkanones

TL;DR: The base-promoted Michael-aldol anionic domino reactions of cyclic α-nitro ketones and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes afforded bicyclo[n.3.1]alkanone systems of seven different ring sizes (n = 3−9), normally in excellent yields as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

An efficient synthesis of N-substituted 3-nitrothiophen-2-amines.

TL;DR: A novel protocol for the synthesis of 3-Nitro-N-aryl/alkylthiophen-2-amines in good yields from the reaction of α-nitroketene N,S- Daryl/alkylaminoacetals and 1,4-dithiane-2,5-diol in the presence of K2CO3 in refluxing ethanol is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vinylation of Nitro‐Substituted Indoles, Quinolinones, and Anilides with Grignard Reagents

TL;DR: Instead of giving fused indole derivatives, these reactions provide a very mild and efficient new procedure for the synthesis of synthetically relevant aromatic systems containing an o-nitrovinyl moiety.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heterogeneous Amberlyst-15-catalyzed synthesis of complex hybrid heterocycles containing [1,6]-naphthyridine under metal-free green conditions

TL;DR: An efficient green protocol for the synthesis of complex hybrid heterocycles containing [1,6]-naphthyridine and coumarin/pyrazole moieties was established, involving an intramolecular [4 + 2] hetero Diels-Alder reaction as the key step.
