The origin of antiferroelectricity in PbZrO3
Alexander K. Tagantsev,Kaushik Vaideeswaran,Sergey Vakhrushev,Alexey Filimonov,R. G. Burkovsky,R. G. Burkovsky,A. P. Shaganov,Daria Andronikova,A. I. Rudskoy,Alfred Q. R. Baron,Hiroshi Uchiyama,Dmitry Chernyshov,Alexei Bosak,Z. Ujma,Krystian Roleder,Andrzej Majchrowski,Jae-Hyeon Ko,Nava Setter +17 more
TL;DR: This work reports the results of a study on the lattice dynamics of the antiferroelectric lead zirconate using inelastic and diffuse X-ray scattering techniques and the Brillouin light scattering, and suggests an approach to the treatment of complex phase transitions in ferroics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Precursor dynamics in the ferroelectric phase transition of barium titanate single crystals studied by Brillouin light scattering
Journal ArticleDOI
Base-treated polydimethylsiloxane surfaces as enhanced triboelectric nanogenerators
Byung Kil Yun,Jae Woong Kim,Hyun Soo Kim,Kwan Wook Jung,Yeonjin Yi,Min Seok Jeong,Jae-Hyeon Ko,Jong Hoon Jung +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the significantly enhanced triboelectric surface charge of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) by sprinkling of NaOH solution, which is related with an increase of polar Si O bonds at the expense of non-polar Si-CH 3 bonds in PDMS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flexible Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 Films for a Hybrid Piezoelectric-Pyroelectric Nanogenerator under Harsh Environments.
Young Joon Ko,Dong Yeong Kim,Sung Sik Won,Chang Won Ahn,Ill Won Kim,Angus I. Kingon,Seung-Hyun Kim,Jae-Hyeon Ko,Jong Hoon Jung +8 more
TL;DR: The successful growth of a flexible Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (PZT) film and its application to hybrid piezoelectric-pyroelectric NG, which effectively scavenges mechanical vibration and thermal fluctuation from sources ranging from the human body to the surroundings such as wind.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elastic softening and central peaks in BaTiO3 single crystals above the cubic-tetragonal phase-transition temperature
TL;DR: In this article, a strong relaxation mode was observed in the paraelectric phase of barium titanate (BaTiO3) single crystals by Brillouin scattering study and was found to correlate with the softening of the longitudinal acoustic mode and the increase in the hypersonic damping.
