Heparin affinity: purification of a tumor-derived capillary endothelial cell growth factor
Yuen W. Shing,Judah Folkman,Ryan J. Sullivan,C Butterfield,James A. H. Murray,Michael Klagsbrun +5 more
TL;DR: A tumor-derived growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of capillary endothelial cells has a very strong affinity for heparin, which makes it possible to purify the growth factor to a single-band preparation in a rapid two-step procedure.
Journal ArticleDOI
The MCL1 inhibitor S63845 is tolerable and effective in diverse cancer models

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that S63845 potently kills MCL1-dependent cancer cells, including multiple myeloma, leukaemia and lymphoma cells, by activating the BAX/BAK-dependent mitochondrial apoptotic pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytokinin Activation of Arabidopsis Cell Division Through a D-Type Cyclin
TL;DR: Results suggest that cytokinin activates Arabidopsis cell division through induction of CycD3 at the G1-S cell cycle phase transition.
Journal ArticleDOI
The plant cell cycle.
TL;DR: This work reviews plant cell cycle regulators and their control and highlights the fundamental conservation of underlying cell cycle mechanisms between animals and plants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global analysis of the core cell cycle regulators of Arabidopsis identifies novel genes, reveals multiple and highly specific profiles of expression and provides a coherent model for plant cell cycle control.
TL;DR: Novel cell cycle regulators are identified, including new cyclin-dependent kinases related to the mammalian galactosyltransferase-associated protein kinase p58, and new classes ofcyclin-like and CDK-like proteins showing strong tissue specificity of expression.
