Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the structure and the solution conformation of an acidic extracellular polysaccharide isolated from Bradyrhizobium.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the polysaccharide may adopt a variety of three dimensional shapes, and that there is a fair agreement between the NMR-derived distances and those provided by the calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unravelling the Time Scale of Conformational Plasticity and Allostery in Glycan Recognition by Human Galectin-1

TL;DR: It was found that sugar binding affected residues far from the binding site and described significant changes in the dynamics of the protein, and motions in the microsecond‐millisecond timescale in residues at the protein dimer interface were identified in the presence of high affinity ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Versatile strategy for the synthesis of biotin-labelled glycans, their immobilization to establish a bioactive surface and interaction studies with a lectin on a biochip

TL;DR: The synthesis of fluorescent glycoconjugates is reported, with a functionalization strategy which avoids the frequently occurring ring opening at the reducing end for further immobilization on a surface or derivatization with biotin.
