Journal ArticleDOI

Glycosyl fluorides in enzymatic reactions.

TL;DR: Synthetic applications in which glycosyl fluorides are used as gly cosyl donors in enzymatic transglycosylation reactions for the synthesis of oligo- and polysaccharides are covered, including the use of mutant glycosidases, which are able to catalyze the formation of glycosides without competing hydrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

'Click' cycloaddition catalysts: copper(I) and copper(II) tris(triazolylmethyl)amine complexes.

TL;DR: The CuI complex of the ' click' ligand tris(benzyltriazolylmethyl)amine is an unusual dinuclear dication with one triazole unit bridging two metal centers, and is an effective catalyst for the 'click' cycloaddition reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ten years of CAZypedia: a living encyclopedia of carbohydrate-active enzymes

Wade Abbott, +102 more
- 01 Dec 2018 -
TL;DR: CAZypedia was initiated in 2007 to create a comprehensive, living encyclopedia of the carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZymes) and associated carbohydrate-binding modules involved in the synthesis, modification and degradation of complex carbohydrates.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aspartate 313 in the Streptomyces plicatus hexosaminidase plays a critical role in substrate-assisted catalysis by orienting the 2-acetamido group and stabilizing the transition state.

TL;DR: Structural and kinetic data provide evidence that Asp-313 stabilizes the transition states flanking the oxazoline intermediate and also assists to correctly orient the 2-acetamido group for catalysis.
