Biomarkers of conversion to α-synucleinopathy in isolated rapid-eye-movement sleep behaviour disorder
Mitchell G. Miglis,Charles H. Adler,Elena Antelmi,Dario Arnaldi,Luca Baldelli,Bradley F. Boeve,Matteo Cesari,Irene Dall'Antonia,Nico J. Diederich,Kathrin Doppler,Petr Dusek,Raffaele Ferri,Jean Gagnon,Ziv Gan-Or,Wiebke Hermann,Birgit Högl,Michele T.M. Hu,Alex Iranzo,Annette Janzen,Anastasia Kuzkina,Jee Young Lee,Klaus L. Leenders,Simon J.G. Lewis,Claudio Liguori,Jun Liu,Christine Lo,Kaylena A. Ehgoetz Martens,Jiri Nepozitek,Giuseppe Plazzi,Federica Provini,Monica Puligheddu,Michal Rolinski,Jan Rusz,Ambra Stefani,Rebekah L.S. Summers,Dallah Yoo,Jennifer Zitser,Jennifer Zitser,Wolfgang H. Oertel +38 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed reliable biomarkers that can better predict conversion to clinically manifest α-synucleinopathies in patients with isolated rapid-eye-movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD).
Journal ArticleDOI
Video-polysomnography procedures for diagnosis of rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) and the identification of its prodromal stages: Guidelines from the International RBD Study Group
Matteo Cesari,Anna Heidbreder,Erik K. St. Louis,Friederike Sixel-Döring,Donald L. Bliwise,Luca Baldelli,Frederik Bes,Maria Livia Fantini,Alex Iranzo,Stine Knudsen-Heier,Geert Mayer,Stuart J. McCarter,Jiri Nepozitek,Milena Pavlova,Federica Provini,Joan Santamaria,Jun Sang Sunwoo,Aleksandar Videnovic,Birgit Högl,Poul Jennum,Julie Anja Engelhard Christensen,Ambra Stefani +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors address the need for comprehensive and unambiguous video-polysomnography (v-PSG) recommendations to diagnose rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD) and identify prodromal RBD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous tonic and phasic REM sleep without atonia best predicts early phenoconversion to neurodegenerative disease in idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder.
Jiri Nepozitek,Simona Dostálová,Petr Dusek,David Kemlink,Iva Prihodova,Veronika Ibarburu Lorenzo y Losada,Latica Friedrich,Ondrej Bezdicek,Tomas Nikolai,Pavla Perinova,Irene Dall'Antonia,Pavel Dusek,Martin Ruml,Evzen Ruzicka,Karel Sonka +14 more
TL;DR: Mixed RWA has proven to be the best predictive test followed by tonic, tonic and any RWA and should be considered as standard biomarker for neurodegenerative disease in iRBD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fragmentary myoclonus in idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder.
Jiri Nepozitek,Simona Dostálová,David Kemlink,Latica Friedrich,Iva Prihodova,Veronika Ibarburu Lorenzo y Losada,Petr Dusek,Ondrej Bezdicek,Tomas Nikolai,Pavla Perinova,Irene Dall'Antonia,Pavel Dusek,Martin Ruml,Evzen Ruzicka,Karel Sonka +14 more
TL;DR: The prevalence of excessive fragmentary myoclonus is higher in idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behaviour disorder compared with the controls, so fragmentary MYClonus should be taken into account in future research of rapid eye Movement Sleep behaviour disorder and motor control in sleep.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systematic video-analysis of motor events during REM sleep in idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder, follow-up and DAT-SPECT.
Jiri Nepozitek,Canan Unalp,Simona Dostálová,Petr Dusek,David Kemlink,Iva Prihodova,Veronika Ibarburu Lorenzo y Losada,Jiri Trnka,David Zogala,Ondrej Bezdicek,Tomas Nikolai,Pavla Perinova,Irene Dall'Antonia,Evzen Ruzicka,Karel Sonka +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed a systematic visual analysis of the motor events (ME) captured during video-polysomnography, and clarified their relation to the disease severity.
