Journal ArticleDOI

The Mitochondrial Intermembrane Space Oxireductase Mia40 Funnels the Oxidative Folding Pathway of the Cytochrome c Oxidase Assembly Protein Cox19

TL;DR: In this article, the authors characterized the oxidative folding of Cox19, a twin CX9C Mia40 substrate, and showed that Mia40 accelerates Cox19 folding through specific recognition of the third Cys in the second helical CX 9C motif and subsequent oxidation of the inner disulfide bond.
Journal ArticleDOI

SILAC-based phosphoproteomics reveals new PP2A-Cdc55-regulated processes in budding yeast.

TL;DR: Phosphoproteomics of Cdc55-deficient cells is used to uncover new PP2ACdc55 substrates and functions in mitosis, and Pkc1 emerged as a novel node of PP2 ACdc55 regulation, highlighting a major role ofPP2ACDC55 in actin cytoskeleton and cytokinesis, gene ontology terms significantly enriched in the PP2DC55-dependent phosphoproteome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Disulfide driven folding for a conditionally disordered protein

TL;DR: This work characterize the disorder-to-order transition of a Mia40 substrate, the human small copper chaperone Cox17, and demonstrates that in this mitochondrial protein, the conformational switch between disordered and folded states is controlled by the formation of a single disulfide bond.
Journal Article

A multi-laboratory study assessing reproducibility of a 2D-DIGE differential proteomic experiment.

TL;DR: A multi-laboratory study was set up, performed at 12 laboratories of the ProteoRed network (Spanish network of proteomics facilities) to assess the reproducibility of 2DE experiments across laboratories.
