Journal ArticleDOI

Asymmetry in the ionic fragmentation of N2O photoexcited around the N and O K edges

TL;DR: Asymmetry parameters for the fragment ions of N2O following excitation or ionization of the N and O K shell electrons have been determined from photoelectron−photoion coincidence (PEPICO) and photoion-photoion coincidences (PIPICO) spectra measured using monochromatized synchrotron radiation and a rotatable time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probing ultrafast electronic and molecular dynamics with free-electron lasers.

TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent molecular dynamics investigations using FELs is presented, focusing on revealing fundamental information on molecular structures and photon-molecule interaction and with broad impacts in chemical and biological sciences.
Journal ArticleDOI

The LAMP instrument at the Linac Coherent Light Source free-electron laser

TL;DR: The design and capabilities of the spectrometers along with some general aspects of the LAMP chamber are described and some results from the initial instrument commissioning are shown.
