Correlation Driven Transient Hole Dynamics Resolved in Space and Time in the Isopropanol Molecule

TL;DR: In this article, the dynamics of inner valence hole states in isopropanol were investigated using an x-ray pump/x-ray probe experiment, with site and state-specific probing of a transient hole state localized near the oxygen atom in the molecule, together with an ab initio theoretical treatment.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Non-resonant and resonant x-ray photo pumping of a dense neon gas with x-ray free-electron lasers

TL;DR: The interaction of ultrashort high-intensity pulses from XFELs with neon gas at atmospheric pressures results in strong amplification of spontaneous emission of the neon K-α line and self-stimulated resonant Raman scattering in the x-ray regime.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical study of the vibrationally resolved photoionization cross section for the valence shells of N 2 and CO

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple model based on the Cohen-Fano formula is presented to detect double-slit like interferences, which reveals strong oscillations around the Franck-Condon factor.
