Fluorophosphine complexes of ruthenium and osmium. part 5. alkene hydrogenation catalysed by ruthenium(ii) complexes

Robert A. Head, +1 more
- 12 Dec 1978 -
TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of several hydridoruthenium complexes as homogeneous hydrogenation catalysts for oct-1 -ene has been studied, and it was shown that these six-coordinate complexes are not active catalysts in the presence of triethylamine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequential H-migration reactions in the formation of [Os3(μ2-H)(μ2-PHMe)(CO)10] and [Os3(μ2-H)2(μ3-PMe)(CO)9] during the reaction between the phosphinidene complex [W(PMe)(CO)5] and [Os3(μ2-H)2(CO)10]

TL;DR: The transient phosphinidene complex [W(PMe)(CO) 5 ] reacts with the unsaturated [Os 3 (μ 2 -H) 2 (μ 3 -PMe) 9 ] via H-migration reactions involving both transfer from Os to P and from P to Os as discussed by the authors.
