Yancopoulos,Leda Mannent +34 more
TL;DR: Dupilumab significantly improved the coprimary endpoints in both studies and was added to standard of care in adults with severe CRSwNP despite previous treatment with systemic corticosteroids, surgery, or both.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tryptase and histamine release during aspirin-induced respiratory reactions.
TL;DR: In three subjects who experienced moderate to severe respiratory reactions extending to the skin and/or gastrointestinal tract, marked elevations of tryptase levels in postreaction serum samples were discovered in two of these three subjects, and a small elevation oftryptase occurred in the serum of the third subject.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcomes after complete endoscopic sinus surgery and aspirin desensitization in aspirin‐exacerbated respiratory disease
Nithin D. Adappa,Viran J. Ranasinghe,Michal Trope,Steven G. Brooks,Jordan T. Glicksman,Arjun K. Parasher,Arjun K. Parasher,James N. Palmer,John V. Bosso +8 more
TL;DR: Patient outcomes after complete endoscopic sinus surgery and aspirin desensitization for patients with aspirin‐exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD) are assessed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of Sensitivity to Food and Drug Additives in Patients With Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria
TL;DR: It is concluded that sensitivity to any of the 11 food and drug additives occurs in fewer than 1% of patients with CIU, and avoidance is not recommended.
Journal ArticleDOI
The role of aspirin desensitization followed by oral aspirin therapy in managing patients with aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease: A Work Group Report from the Rhinitis, Rhinosinusitis and Ocular Allergy Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology

TL;DR: This Work Group Report provides a comprehensive review of aspirin challenges, aspirin desensitizations, and maintenance aspirin therapy in AERD patients and discusses the possible cellular and molecular mechanisms explaining how this therapy provides unique benefit to AerD patients.
