Entrectinib in patients with advanced or metastatic NTRK fusion-positive solid tumours: integrated analysis of three phase 1–2 trials
Robert C. Doebele,Alexander Drilon,Alexander Drilon,Luis Paz-Ares,Salvatore Siena,Alice T. Shaw,Anna F. Farago,Collin M. Blakely,Takashi Seto,Byung Chul Cho,D. Tosi,Benjamin Besse,Sant P. Chawla,Lyudmila Bazhenova,John C. Krauss,Young Kwang Chae,Minal A. Barve,Ignacio Garrido-Laguna,Stephen V. Liu,Paul Conkling,Thomas John,Marwan Fakih,Darren Sigal,Herbert H. Loong,Gary L Buchschacher,Pilar Garrido,Jorge Nieva,Conor E. Steuer,Tobias Overbeck,Daniel W. Bowles,Elizabeth Fox,Todd Riehl,Edna Chow-Maneval,B. Simmons,Na Cui,Ann M. Johnson,Susan Eng,Timothy R. Wilson,George D. Demetri +38 more
TL;DR: Results show that entrectinib induced durable and clinically meaningful responses in patients with NTRK fusion-positive solid tumours, and was well tolerated with a manageable safety profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intravenous delivery of a multi-mechanistic cancer-targeted oncolytic poxvirus in humans
Caroline J. Breitbach,James M. Burke,Derek J. Jonker,Derek J. Jonker,Joe Stephenson,Andrew R. Haas,Laura Q M Chow,Laura Q M Chow,Jorge Nieva,Tae-Ho Hwang,Anne Moon,Richard H. Patt,Adina Pelusio,Fabrice Le Boeuf,Joseph K. Burns,Joseph K. Burns,Laura Evgin,Laura Evgin,Naomi De Silva,Naomi De Silva,Sara Cvancic,Sara Cvancic,Terri Robertson,Ji Eun Je,Yeon Sook Lee,Kelley Parato,Jean-Simon Diallo,Aaron Fenster,Manijeh Daneshmand,Manijeh Daneshmand,John C. Bell,John C. Bell,David H. Kirn +32 more
TL;DR: It is shown in a clinical trial that JX-594 selectively infects, replicates and expresses transgene products in cancer tissue after intravenous infusion, in a dose-related fashion.
Journal ArticleDOI
AMG 531, a thrombopoiesis-stimulating protein, for chronic ITP.
James B. Bussel,David J. Kuter,James N. George,Robert McMillan,Louis M. Aledort,George T. Conklin,Alan E. Lichtin,Roger M. Lyons,Jorge Nieva,Jeffrey S. Wasser,Israel Wiznitzer,Reggie Kelly,Chien Feng Chen,Janet L. Nichol +13 more
TL;DR: AMG 531 caused no major adverse events and increased platelet counts in patients with ITP, and increases in the platelet count were dose-dependent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for antibody-catalyzed ozone formation in bacterial killing and inflammation.
Paul Wentworth,Jonathan E. McDunn,Anita D. Wentworth,Cindy Takeuchi,Jorge Nieva,Teresa M. Jones,Cristina Bautista,Julie M. Ruedi,Abel Gutierrez,Kim D. Janda,Bernard M. Babior,Albert Eschenmoser,Richard A. Lerner +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that antibodies catalyze the generation of hydrogen peroxide from singlet molecular oxygen and water, and this process can lead to efficient killing of bacteria, regardless of the antigen specificity of the antibody.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elevated levels of oxidized cholesterol metabolites in Lewy body disease brains accelerate alpha-synuclein fibrilization.
Daryl A. Bosco,Douglas M. Fowler,Qinghai Zhang,Jorge Nieva,Evan T. Powers,Paul Wentworth,Paul Wentworth,Richard A. Lerner,Jeffery W. Kelly +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that concentrations of oxidative cholesterol metabolites derived from reactive oxygen species are elevated in the cortices of individuals with Lewy body dementia relative to those of age-matched controls, and it is shown that these metabolites accelerate α-synuclein aggregation in vitro.
